The art of Juicing

The art of Juicing

September 05, 2016

Today I received my gorgeous Omega VRT350 juicer that is a big step for me; this is a “big girl” juicer. Gone is the Hamilton centrifuge, it did its job –to make sure I really could drink organic spinach, Kale, Arugula and other not so tasty vegetables that I can’t make myself eat.

Isn't she Gorgeous?

Is juicing healthier than eating your veggies? Maybe not, but if don’t eat said green leafy vegetables and you can drink then then the answer is a resounding YES! And I am basing this on a nice article by the Mayo clinic (http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/juicing/faq-20058020).

The recommended servings of vegetable and fruits per day is 6-8 servings, juicing virtually guarantees that you get those in, you absorb all of the nutrients and you can add a wider variety of vegetables in your diet. So, if you are like me, trying to eat healthy but the thought of eating lots of green leafy vegetables (or any kind of vegetables) makes you cringe….buy a juicer and start slow, add apples, oranges, limes and/or pineapples to make your juice sweeter…you will not regret it and maybe, just maybe you will end up with your own Omega masticator.

There are lots of videos on youtube, some include recipes. As for me I will continue to drink my veggies....Cheers!!
